Technical Manager Wormwize®

Your job
You will contribute to the marketing and development of our web-based decision support platform Wormwize® which enables veterinarians to deliver state-of-the-art advice on sustainable worm control in cattle farms. As such, you will contribute to a productive and sustainable livestock sector. You will work in a small, international team that endeavours solutions for the current challenges of sustainable animal health and livestock production: epidemic threats, climate change, food security, environmental impact and drug resistance. You will be part of a young and dynamic company and contribute to the commercial and technical development of Wormwize® in Belgium and Europe.

Kreavet is a Belgian SME founded in 2017 to support companies, research/public institutions and professional organisations to meet today’s challenges in the field of animal health and sustainable livestock farming. Kreavet helps its clients to deliver, implement and disseminate their animal health solutions by services in the field of Research & Development, Strategic collaborations and Training. It offers specific expertise in the fields of veterinary parasitology, epidemiology and socio-economics of animal health. Kreavet developed Wormwize® as its first software product and is further developing and commercializing this for Belgium and Europe.
Duties and responsibilities
- You build long-term relationships with farmers, veterinarians, decision makers in veterinary clinics and academics to support them in sustainable worm control.
- You provide technical support to veterinary and farmer end-users in the use of Wormwize® and sustainable parasite control in general.
- You develop training materials and manage Wormwize® social media accounts.
- You collect, prioritise and translate end-user needs to developers.
- You participate in the development of decision algorithms for Wormwize® based on user feedback.
- You develop and execute the communication and marketing plan of Wormwize®.
- You contribute to other research and management projects and in administrative duties at Kreavet.
- You are available to travel and represent Wormwize® and Kreavet in (inter)national meetings and fairs.
- You scan the landscape and stay up-to-date with recent developments in the field of sustainable worm control in ruminants and decision support.
Desired skills and experience
- Familiarity with and develops/maintains network in the ruminant livestock and veterinary sector.
- Customer centric, collaborates with empathy and solution-oriented.
- Minimum Master degree with 2 years of experience, PhD degree (e.g. veterinary sciences/social sciences/health psychology) can be a plus.
- Good in planning and organisation.
- Good presenting skills.
- Can manage multiple projects at a time.
- Team-player, but capable of working independently and from home.
- You are flexible and able to quickly shift priorities.
- Driver license and car owner to visit customers.
- You speak and write fluently Dutch and English. French is an asset.
