In June 2025, we welcomed Karlien Supré at Kreavet as our new Technical Manager. Karlien is a veterinarian with expertise in dairy herd health, udder health and milk quality. She obtained her PhD at Ghent University, focusing on intramammary infections in dairy cows. Prior to joining Kreavet, her career included roles at MCC (Melkcontrolecentrum Vlaanderen) and Zoetis, where she led strategic initiatives in precision diagnostics and contributed to both national and international projects. She has over a 10 years of experience in laboratory diagnostics, field consultancy, and project coordination, and has supported and trained veterinarians, farmers, and industry stakeholders in the prevention of infectious diseases to promote sustainable farming.
Additionally, Karlien has been a member of several working groups on antimicrobial use and cattle health and is passionate about translating scientific knowledge into practical value on the farm. She has a strong interest in One Health, and in capacity building and dairy development in low-resource settings. She has participated in various training programs at the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
At Kreavet, Karlien will contribute to innovative, science-based solutions for the ruminant sector, with a focus on sustainability, collaboration, and measurable impact.
